I have always suspected that all this Ortom grandstanding was just smoke and no fire. I still remember the admonition/warning from the Catholic bishop of markurdi. The bishop had warned that the Benue people will abandon Ortom if he stops standing for them. The bishop made the comment last week at the mass burial of the two priests and 17 other worshippers. It had become clear to the bishop that the governor has started equivocating and being ambivalent in his positions. Clearly Ortom has started engaging in double speak and perfidy even in the face of many souls being lost. Buhari refuses to arrest his wards in Miyetti Allah kuta hore, they continue their killing, Ortom cannot do anything to them and he absolves Buhari of blame. Benue people have simply had it. 2019 can't come too soon for them.
