Halleluiah! It is now that somebody is talking. What is surprising with this disclosure from AI is that it has taken them 6 years to echo what every right thinking Nigerian, including the International community knew about the senseless Islamist jihadist insurgency in Nigeria.
We all knew how it all started.
For a reminder, the Boko Haram Islamist insurgency is simply an illegitimate child of the Northern Elites that was criminally conceived and surreptitiously delivered since 1979 after demanding for the constitution to include a Sharia law, not only in the Muslim north but for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Remember, the Northern Elites including of course, our current President and Commander –in-Chief Buhari sneakily forced Nigeria, a multi-religious country to flirt dangerous with the OIC - The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) (formerly Organization of the Islamic Conference). It is on record, that Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida another of these Northern leaders foxily and against all regard for the secular structure of the country upgraded Nigeria from Observer status to full-fledged membership of the OIC. The Organization is famed as being the collective voice of the Muslim world. That was another ploy to consolidate their brazenly quest for an Islamic state and a Sharia Law that would guarantee them public amputations and beheading, death by stoning, under-age marriage and child rape. The extreme fanatical wing of the Sharia advocated detest western education and since 7 years gone on the cause mayhem, death and misery on innocent citizens in the North-eastern Nigeria. That’s the barbarity of the faith they claim to profess. In Northern Nigeria today, those apostles of the Sharia doctrine have metamorphosed into the dreaded Boko Haram. They did not drop from the skies, but are sons and daughters of the Northern Elites, only advancing the cause of the caliphate but rather in a barbaric form, the dream of their fathers and grandfathers for the actualisation of their Islamic Republic. They actively try hard to malign the Presidency of Jonathan and maximised their atrocious bombing of catholic churches and places of worship. Now Jonathan has left office, but the blood of those senseless slaughters of students, women and children have literally entered their eyes and psyches and there is no stopping them. It is important we continue to remind the Northern Leaders and members of the Northern Consultative Council that about 90% of the Nigeria army are occupied by their children who have been fed with vile doctrine that jihadi movement of murder is the cornerstone of Islam. It is not the estimated 15 million ‘street’ children in the northern Nigeria states who are killing Nigeria soldiers and forcing millions of children into refugee camps. It is not the homeless children who are manufacturing rock launchers, weaponised drones. crude home-made bombs or homicide bombers killing and maiming innocent citizens and Nigeria soldiers all over Northern Nigeria. Where do Boko Haram Islamist jihadists get their ammunitions from? Who is paying and feeding them? They are not getting their supply of ammunitions from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria or the outer space. It is from Northern Nigeria. The murder and pillage have gone on for 7 years and the leadership is papering over gapping cracks and hoping that the end is nigh. Nigerians were told that the capital of Boko Haram was Sambisa Forest. But from Yola to Abuja to Maiduguri to Kano, bombs have been going off unabated, despite the infamous forest having been raided by the military. Sadly, and most worryingly, the Nigeria army is now polarised into two camps; one camp is the authentic ones that are fighting a futile war against Boko Haram. The other camp is aligned to the Northern Elders who are actively sponsoring the insurgency. It is therefore becoming difficult to differentiate between the rogue ones and real thing. That is largely the reason why the Northern Elite are more interested in Amnesty for capture Boko Haram than the final end to the insurrection. Retired lieutenant-general, Theophilus Danjuma was recently lecturing Nigerians about the mysterious ‘intelligence’ capabilities of the Boko Haram Muslim Fundamentalists. Those Danjuma was telling us that were sitting on the fence against war on insurgence are the Northern elites who know exactly what they are doing.
Before people start kicking against this most informative disclosure by the ICC, it is important we affirm that Nigerians are aware of our President’s mind-set when it comes to tackling the Islamist insurgency in Northern Nigeria. If the Northern Muslim Leaders want this senseless insurgency to end today, they know exactly what to: raise the white flag of surrender and give themselves up to the authentic and genuine Nigeria Armed Forces. They would stop the senseless killing going on in Northern Nigeria. Thereafter, Nigerians can discuss the way forward for their Islamic Sharia Republic
